- Posi-Lock 4in. 5 ton Gear and Bearing Puller, Sears, $99 … (I used to have this Sears gear puller, but it bends every time you try to put any large amount of force on a gear. I upgraded to the one above and will never use anything else. The Posi-Lock is wonderful and I used it about 15 times rebuilding the Pantah engine. Well worth the money.)
- Propane blow torch for heating the engine cases to remove the press fit bearings.
- Blind hole bearing slide hammer. This one is metric, and decent quality for the money. The Snap-On version is $420 so the $80 I spent on eBay was well worth it. It would be nice to have a threaded yoke though. I would rather have the control of a thread instead of pounding them out. But the price was right and it worked.
